Children and Youth Programs

Great Futures Start Here

Through the delivery of a range of leadership, social-emotional, and skill development programs and wrap-around services, youth the have opportunities to develop positive relationships, lifelong skills, and confidence to thrive.

Together, with our partners in the community, we equip young people with the skills to overcome adversity, build resilience, and optimism to prepare for the future, while also providing access to opportunities which reduce barriers to achieving their potential.

See descriptions for each program below.

Out of School Care

Out of School Care operates before and after school as well as full day programs on non-instructional school days. The programs are licensed under the Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations Act and delivered in 2 locations within the City of Wetaskiwin for children in kindergarten to grade 6.

Program delivery is developmentally appropriate, intentional, well-organized, and tailored to participants interests. Out of School care programs address the developmental needs of children by understanding the stages of child development and building assets and competencies relevant to supporting children to become successful adults. The program provides a safe and fun environment for children that promotes positive values and attitudes, enhances children’s self-esteem, builds resiliency, and protects against at-risk behaviours.

Safe transfer of children from school sites to Club programs and a healthy snack is provided. Day Camps are offered on non-instructional school days and for 8 weeks during the summer months.
