Family Resource Network – Enrichment Program Counsellor

Position:  Family Resource Network – Enrichment Program Counsellor

 

Job Description: Provide barrier-free, early Intervention support to families and youth in the Family Resource Network Enrichment Program through supporting families to develop skills, strategies, and tools, as well as natural and community connections.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Solution-focused, intensive, individual support that focuses on skill development for families and youth
  • Educate on and support the development of parenting skills 
  • Assess participant skills, strengths, and needs
  • Connect participants to appropriate community resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and support participants to alleviate crisis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a professional team setting.

 

Requirements: Completion of post secondary education in social work, child and youth care, counselling or equivalent, with two years relevant experience.

 

Hours: Monday – Friday

 

Salary:  $56 909 – $63 445 yearly, 40 hr/week

Program Facilitator 2024

Program Facilitator
•Before School and After School Licensed Care
•Youth Development Programs

Key Responsibilities
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for children and youth
• Plan and implement appropriate programming based on age, skills, and interests
• Demonstrate initiative, energy, teamwork, and effective communication

Requirements:
•Interested applicants will be energetic, mature individuals who have a desire to work with children and youth
•Child Care Certification and First Aid training are assets
•Successful applicants will require a Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.

Hours of Work:

Part time position (3 to 35 hours/week)
Shifts are Monday through Friday from 6:45-9:15am; 3:00-6:00pm with occasional shifts between 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Wage: $16.95 – $27.28* per hour *wage includes top ups when working in licensed Out of School Care programs

POSITION: Family Development, Youth Development

  • Part Time/Full Time hours – Contracted Service Provider

We have flexible weekday, weekends, and evenings supports, serving Wetaskiwin, Ponoka, Camrose, and areas. We offer competitive hourly contracting rates.
